About Me

I’m a trainee sports journalist, currently studying for a degree at the University of Huddersfield.

2016-Present: Sports Journalism, University of Huddersfield

During my time at the University of Huddersfield, I’ve already enhanced and developed a number of key skills relevant to my course, and desired profession.

In my ‘Broadcast Journalism’ module, I’ve gained valuable experience in a Premier League press box, whilst recording a radio report for my first assignment. Since then, I’ve furthered my learning and ability to use mics more competently, as well as getting to grips with editing software such as Adobe Audition.

The ‘Journalism Technologies’ module has broadened my knowledge of various social media platforms, and it has allowed me to understand how to use them more effectively and professionally, consequently improving the standard of work that I’m submitting.

2015-Present: Tameside Reporter/ Glossop Chronicle Match Reporter, Glossop Cricket Club

I have written the cricket reports for my local club for a couple of years now. I’ve had articles published in the Glossop Chronicle every week during the course of those two seasons, and I’ve done work experience for a few weeks at the paper.
